I love owls and friends often share pictures they have come across of particularly beautiful owls and this is one I saved quite a while ago

Didn't know there were owls on the NZ half crown?  Can't see very well in the pic so I'll take your word for it.😁

You need more than 800x600 display resolution , my coin is a little worn but yes by adding a lower part does seem more a stylised Maori icon , or could it be a ferocious tawny frogmouth bird ?

This one visited last week and must have been a bit confused at one stage as he sat on a meter box all day
