seems there are a few 'should know better' countries displaying what not to do in a pandemic

i suspect they prefer profit over safety of the people

Population numbers might be similar but Florida has something like 2.2% of the land mass of Australia so really not at all comparable.

i can see a second outbreak coming as many countries have decided the economy is more important than lives by rushing to 'get back to normal'

Summer time health in the northern hemisphere - but their next winter a 2nd wave bursting up from southern hemisphere Africa currently experiencing the contagion ?

Russia mitigating better than the US should not be any comfort as Russia closed their borders even before Australia - it should have not spread at all , so what happened there ?

It has to be worked out per 100,000 people on the body count, not land size, awful I know 

Sadly, NZ has 2 new cases after some 5 (?) weeks of 0.  That means that incubation period is lot longer, or that there can be undetected infection from one asymptomatic person to another. 

 

And Victoria had 21 new cases in 24 hours; 6 of them community transmission.
