IMO, if somebody is speeding by enough to have their licence automatically suspended, they should have looked up the rules first.

Admittedly, somebody who speeds by enough to have their licence automatically suspended probably doesn't read rules, but if that puts them off the road for twice as long, I can't see that as a bad thing.
