Back home from Beechworth, and my phone is working again. Joy to the world, the 4G has come (back)...

There were so few cars on the road - both going up (4 a.m. start on Christmas Day) and coming back this afternoon/evening. I suspect that people are truly staying together as families, relishing what is most important - the people that one loves. It was bittersweet this year, but there was a lot of love being shared around.

I also maintain that I had the victory with totem tennis, won some of the table tennis, but was humiliatingly defeated in another round with another table tennis player. Every time I went for an edge shot in that latter match, the ball completely missed the table. I suspect dark doings and some sort of table shrinkage tactic.
