Seems - a teen with a fairly long rap sheet nicked a 4 wheel drive.

 

He plowed the 4 wheel drive into the tow truck - which caused - in turn - the death of this young couple.

 

Having read the whole - I hope the teen is put where he can do no more devestation - for some considerable time. 

 

It will be interesting to see - 2 murders - possibly 3 given the unborn - how far the book will be thrown.

The little 17 year old thug is being tried in children's court, nothing too severe will come of  it.

 

Just watch, the justice he deserves will not be forthcoming and these poeple are gone forever from their family's.

 

Makes me freaking sick the laws/justice [or rather lack of] in Australia.

On the news,   he has been charged with murder.  

Yes, as a minor, in children's court.

We heard on the news that he could get a maximum of 10 years, which means he will be only 27 when he gets out (not allowing for early release with parole, which could happen).

even if he was an adult murder is premeditated so at worst it'll be tripple manslaughter

 

they would have great difficulty getting murder to stick

 

soon we will be hearing about his broken home and being abused as a child

Yup, no doubt.

 

But I am going to predict he ends up spending less than 3 years in any sort of institution.

If he has any heart then the gravity of what he has done, the destruction of these lovely young lives will haunt him for the rest of his life.
