yes, she_el...over to you 🙂

She disabled three would-be assailants – the story contains graphic details.

3 words 3, 6’1, 4 letters

Mad Hatter's Ball?

Nope, sorry.

Can I please do some ‘working out’ on here, so the cryptic professionals can guide me in the right direction because I am seriously struggling ‘mentally’ to work these damn solutions out.... comes with shift worker brain I think which is probably akin to baby brain 😂

so my thinking is:  She disabled three-  so I’m scrambling the letters of the word three to get a female word=Her? Or maybe it’s another word for three=tri = try?  Or perhaps it’s got nothing to do with she at all and the answer is The?  IDK that’s for sure.... lol

Then for the last part: The story contains graphic details. I originally thought it was a whole clue. Hence my Killer’s answer.  But then I thought Eg- story =tale. (The only 4 letter word for story I could think of) but NOW I’m thinking along the lines that a 4letter word rhyming with story that means graphic is Gory. .... but I don’t know how to fit it into the cryptic clue as a whole. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3, 6’1, Gory.
I’m also stabbing in the dark that the answer is a name of a book..... being a writer and all 😉

H..E...L...P 😂😂😂😂😂

Correct.

3 would-be assailants = three blind mice (they all ran after the farmer's wife)

graphic details = she detailed them (cut off their tails) with a carving knife.

thus disabling them.

The devil was in the 'details,' Jane.😁

The thing is janeababe, some people who write cryptic clues are sneaky, devious, conniving, misleading and misdirecting culprits. The trick is to work out which trick/s they are pulling! It's hard and can all but do your head in at times. But with experience comes strength, and they can be brought down! 😄
