Having one today and the other on Monday 😐 I know, I know, they are important and essential and we have to do it, but I HATE THEM :_| X-( :_|
How come they have managed to come up with a simple blood test, rather than a digital examination, for prostate cancer but we still have to have the cold metal treatment? ?:| 😞 😉

pffft Men, they get off everything so easy don't they??? LOL
u just reminded me so I've booked in for a mammogram too. Hate both tests but have to be done. reminds me of the story about the mum who was going for her test and in a rush grabbed the facecloth and gave herself a quick wash. The doctor said you've made a special effort today haven't you? When she got home she realised her daughter had used the same cloth to remove her concert make up, sparkles everywhere.....LOL

One day there might be a test similar to a mammogram to check for testicular cancer. A squashing machine just like ours.
(For those men and their wives who are too prudish to self-check)

Find a woman doctor to do the pap smear....they're sooo much cleverer at it. and much less discomfort.

Regarding the reason why there is no blood test!!....... Another test would be found soon enough if it was men that had to endure this!!....... There is a blood test to determine the presence of prostate cancer!!
Ye Gods!!!!!!!....... I hate the tests!!:(

My doctor sneak attacked me with one once... "Have you had a pap smear recently?" "No" "Lie down on the table"
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

My female doctor sneak attacked me yesterday!
She was so gentle. I hardly felt a thing. It is invasive and yuk, though you feel heaps better knowing you are doing the right thing for your health. My doc. even did the (can we say breast here?) breast check and said I was good to go.
I want a hysterectomy. So sick of these bits and their maintenance and upkeep.

Yes you can say 'breasts' and 'vagina' or any other anatomical part, there is not slap for that 🙂
Well with no breasts any longer I have to be thankful for mamograms.
Yes it is always men's tests that are made easier, maybe because they are such wooses and we are not.
Well that's my take on it, but given time I expect some woman scientist will come up with tests for us that will be kinder on our dignity 🙂

Pap smears are so important, because cervical cancer is the ONLY cancer which is totally preventable.
