I remember I was about 7yrs, we didnt have it, but a neigbour did, they invited us in to watch .......Annie Oakly.....there wasnt much to choose from back then and I thought it was wonderful!

I remember when we got a TV, I thought Roy Rodgers was wonderful, think that was my favourite show, it was on every afternoon..........in black & white.

Trigger was the name of Roy Rodger's horse.

Hi Gilly and Darki..... my weekend with the sports car meet.    It was fantastic.   I am still hyped up.   Way to go........ zooooom !!!  And the weather was perfect and what a lovely bunch of enthusiasts.

Morning seniors.

Found this thread on page 2--lift your game!

Richo.

Yes sir!!

Game lifted.........:^O

I was at boarding school when tv came in.  The headmistress got herself a tv and the seniors were invited to watch it.

I think that was Roy Rogers.

Sigh!  You're right  ...  alzheimers 😞

Good morning Richo. Prolly too late to catch you before you leave today.

Darki, your dogs are beautiful on the Group thread.  I fell in love with Gem....give her a tummy tickle for me.

Gilly, re the senior villages.  When I can no longer climb a ladder I may look into them too. I hear there are some good ones around and who will take pets.

I had a friend who was a dog judge and  who was allowed to take his male (English S.S.) very aged dog to a nursing home but once the dog died it was not to be replaced. This friend was alone and his dog was his life.  Well, the dog passed away after 2 years.  He phoned a dog judge rellie of mine in a panic and profound grief. The same day my rellie got him the same breed house trained adult young dog, but a female. The switch was secretly made. The residents and staff (who adored  his old dog) were amazed at how his dog seemed to have a new lease on life.  That was 5 years ago and his "dog" would have to be 20 years old by now and still going strong

You wuz a senior Gilly?

Yes definitely Alzheimers... Rob Roy was a Scot wasn't he :^O

Well shopping and gym today.

Anyone else go to Senior's gym?  It does help keep our balance and I was amazed at how much balance I had lost.  Might stop me falling over in the years to come... maybe.

Too late for you Gil, you've had your fall 🙂

Richo, you must return more often to keep us off the 2nd page 🙂

Have a good day, Seniors:-)

I must see about going to a seniors gym, my dr. suggested I go.

Enjoy your day Darki.

Talking about ladders.......might have to climb mine today.

We pump bore water into our tank and unfortunately the hose that goes into the tank has fallen out on to the ground, so 'someone' has to climb the ladder and re position it.  guess who?
