Oh Purps - that will be so hard for you.

Must be really hard for Z too.

PJ you will love Tasmania. I am returning here in November and am thinking of living here when travelling is finished.

We had a beautiful day sailing. Weather was not the best but it certainly did not detract from the enjoyment.

Oh Purps - that will be so hard for you.

Must be really hard for Z too.

It is a difficult decisionl. But his dad is a lot older than us and I feel they should spend time in his country with him. Oh his dad and step mum arrive soon. I will not get to see them 😞

Well said JV

Hi Kezza and i have always believed in doing a job and giving it 100 percent at least commitment.........cant stand people that only are half baked in anything they do........plenty of them around:)

Goooooooooooood morning all.............and another humid day here on the Goldie.............as we await to see what mother nature is going to be delivering us later in the morning.

Stay safe everyone..........for those of you that arent well or not feeling up to scratch hoping your day is nice and serene for you:)

BBL

JV I think it is not only people who come into this country that take things for granted. Lots of Australians out there who would not know how to do a full days work. Lots of immigrants work very hard to make a good life for themselves. I feel it is not fair to just target them. Kerry I am sorry that you feel this way as well.

Good morning to everyone. Have a busy day ahead. Will catch up later.

I really think that to call people who dont take up citizenship arrogant, or leeches, is a bit over the top.

There would be many reasons people decide not to do that - but the fact that they dont hold citizenship does not prevent them contributing to our society in a very positive manner.

There are probably more Aussie "leeches" than there are immigrants.

It's one thing not to suffer fools - its another to put others down and label them just because they make a decision you dont agree with.

Good morning all... Rosie so sorry to read that about the iodine reaction. I had something similar happen with it and know just how scary it can be. Do hope you are over it soon.

Good on you kezza, social work is a worthy profession. Don't be too fooled by how 'educated' the nurses are today... they are great when it comes to the science of things but they have lost the 'human touch' that the old fashioned nurses had.

I have seen some pretty heartless things happen in hospitals since they new regime started.

I don't think you would have liked it, you are too 'human' 🙂

It will be good to see you again Shirley, looking forward to it before you leave for parts further north.

I lived on Bruny for 9 years and yes, it is beautiful. Purps will really enjoy it if they go and see all the places I told them about.

Hahaha you are soooo right...

Have observed over time that as a lot of men age they become more child like...........many seem to be more and more dependent ...........dont see woman doing that as much........wonder why that is so

My X of 40 years ago has finally come out of the woodwork in WA and has flown over to Qld to meet up with my son whom he has not seen for all that time.

Since he was widowed in December he has already tried to see if I was ready to take him on again and is now planning to move over to be near my son so he can 'take him on'... fat chance!!

Moo you are so right and years and years of experience here we have seen so much of it haven't we. Mind you, it is the human condition to disagree and then turn nasty, so maybe we should just accept it as normal and ignore it.

I find it is the easiest way in the end.

I have never suffered fools easily....and have always and will always be like that

Right on Jen same here. I don't suffer fools easily either. Have different views about Australian Citizenship, too many people come and work their butts off and would still be there for Australia if called upon.

I'm like you Rosie, my mother was English and I can have a British passport if I chose to, so can my son.

Right on purps, lots of Australians do not put their all into work, in fact some of them put their all into avoiding it.:|

See ya this afternoon 🙂

GOSH you can see I haven't been here for a couple of days, great catching up tho

Well this arrogant woman better not post here anymore then....:|
