It's tough isn't JV. When my OH sorted out his mums stuff he said one of the hardest things was tossing stuff out. They all have such important memories attached that represented a life that was precious. Hugs and what a marvellous anniversary to celebrate..........and i bet you are super duper flat out getting ready for the impending new angels.........thinking of you all........and hope that somewhere you guys can find a bit of time just for yourselves:) My weekend has been ok, went out to dinner with my OH (wedding anniversary) 17 years it seems like 5, can't believe where the time has gone!!! Had a lovely dinner last night - veal saltimbocca - then for dessert icecream with a shot each of espresso and drambui to pour over the top - going to try this at home lol apparently any liqueur does the job. Great company as well! These friends asked us to go on a cruise with them next year - hope it pans out!

Oh wow the icecream sounds devine.....but the cruise sounds better..........the OH putting the finishing touches to another one for us:).........is certainly the way to get away and to take it all in...........we have an excellent guy in West Aussie who does it all on the net...........found his prices so much better than a certain travel agent..........and super polite as well:)

I ate a LOT of comfort food and yes i do feel good for it.

We had red rooster for lunch, pizza on puff pastry for dinner and choc in between, OH brought me a kind of biscuity choc treat....

So I felt I was feeding myself nothing but treats all day.

I even listed a couple of things last night.

Still tired, but hoping the grey clouds coming over won't mean another dark day, yesterday was so beautiful. Sun streaming into the house all day.

My washing machine is on the fritz.... OH is battling it today. It now takes an hour to fill up water for washing and rinsing. we have to jolly it along, its one of those elecronic key pad ones and the timing has slowed down.

I am awaiting a call re repair but dont want to pay a fortune for a machine that may have to be replaced. What to do>

The OH was up before the fowls to play golf.........and its been super sweltering all day..........is close to 30 and the humidity is through the roof.

Hi JVH unbelievable 30degrees your way - freezing again here today lol! Braved the shops this a.m. and got soaked (left the umbrella in the car) - yes absoloutely can't rave enough about the cruises - my fav was through the Panama Canal - awesome! On-line is the only way to book - or as OH does directly through the cruiseline.

Hi beani yep we are braving the cold again today tho supposed to be 24 on Sunday hard to imagine. So jealous of all your treats - trying to be good in our house with OH on a strict diet.

HI MIss and agree once one has been on a cruise that nothing else compares..........the fact that one can totally switch off for the entire trip is what i like:)

MOrning all and just hanging around to see if my son is free for lunch today.........were going to meet with them both yesterday but my son had enough of screaming children and crowds so they headed for home:)
