Evening all. Ben really busy. Tomorrow I will meet up with my two half sisters for the first time in 45+ years. Very excited and nervous. Then Saturday we are off to the Gold Coast to meet up with my nephew and his family. Sunday I am off to my best Mate's place for two days. Then I head to Newcastle on Wdnesday for a week. Not taking the lappy with me. Having a completely computer free time. Plus it needs to go for repairs. So works out well. Have a lovely evening all.

This has been coming for a long time now and you have no choice (also in the best interests of your dear mum) - so caring of you to find the nicest place for him and though not an easy time for anyone - it will prove to be the best decision for everyone! It is heartbreaking to see a loved one travel down this road - I wish Ash every happiness and peace and best wishes to you and your mum! Stay strong - wish you had more support - thank you mr beam for helping our Dame!

Thanks miss and chatty, it was not as bad as I thought, sad but he was pretty lost and I think he knew what was happening but he just held my hand and I hugged him and he hugged me back.
He was looking for Mum and asking for her
I had been down the previous day and decorated his room with a few treasures and he just looked at the pic of them and said there she is.
My brother Gary is going up with me today as he goes back to Brisbane tomorrow and we will see how it goes
Mum will wait a week or so until she feels she can go up as she is still not too good
I think he maybe understood a bit and I think he made it easy for me.
I asked him did he want me to come back to see him and he said o yes and he clung to me sort of while I was there, so it was not as bad as I thought

Dame sounded heart-wrenching it really did - brought tears to my eyes a lovely gentleman inflicted with an illness no-one should have to suffer after a hard-working life. Thankfully he was blessed to have you in his life to make this transition comfortable and easy and importantly the knowledge that only the accommodation has changed and not the family unit going forward. Really hope your mum gets stronger - ((hugs)) and I'm so glad it was not as difficult as you feared.

Hey beani yep I'm FREEZING too!! Cold snap has even brought snow to Victoria. Have my neice for a sleepover tonight/today (yay) - hope everyone has a great weekend!
