Just a good morning friendly bump hope everyone has a pleasant day planned:)

Morning all :-x

Up reasonably early been shopping and I hung out at the shopping centre for about an hour enjoying the a/c going to be 34 today it was 30 degrees at 8am Christ I hate this place this time of year its unbearable without a/c and the a/c is too expensive to run...lol.  I love Townsville atmosphere but not weather I'd just like to experience a cold Winter for once  in my life.

Cant even be bothered to eat had some camembert cheese and an apple for tea last night C had a pie.

Yes Kezza you got that right the i want to eat goes right out the door in this dammed humidity..................i dont care how hot it gets just not the humidity:(

You so need to move to a more temperate climate eh

My grandparents decided to move here in 1978 I wished they had stayed in Brissy we had a lovely old Queenslander in Yeerongapilly think its called just Yeeronga now a days but alas all of Nana's siblings lived in Townsville so she decided to return to be near them in their old age.

I think we will stay here till C turns 18 if we can last that long than I would really love to move to Brissy jobs will be more plentiful would love to move to Perth I was stationed there with the Airforce C & I would do well working in the mines there I reckon.  Only thing is they play funny football over there, lol...

Lol yes the mines would be the go...........have you looked in the Singleton area for work.......lots of mines there and Singleton isnt a bad town shopping wise.......nice and icey in winter girl

Afternoon all

Hi JVH hope the flu is done and dusted!
Yes we seem to have a lot of house guests. Last year we had a couple arrive Xmas day! Hope all the exciting plans are coming along well!

Hi kezza I wouldnt be cooking in that heat either. This is why pizza huts exist lol! Cold here today nearly put the heat on!

I found a chef from the US and am following her instructions on cooking and freezing Xmas dinner prior. I have 3 huge dishes cooked including the turkey lol ready to pull out the freezer. She promises a stress free Xmas day. I will have 25 guests and stressing already lol. Finished wrapping the last of the presses all under the tree. Making another dish tomorrow. I'm lucky to have an extra freezer in the garage I am using.

Hi Miss and what a great idea to freeze all the portions.....that way hopefully wont be too stressful for you......lets hope for a cooler day so that everyone can enjoy the special day.

Yes we have another freezer in the garage and i make up a lot of curries and a lot of soups label them and put them in the freezer.

What are you doing for dessert have you decided yet?

Just a friendly morning bump:)

Morning all :-x

The trick to life in the tropics is when you llie down you cant have yr limbs crossing makes to much sweat you have to sprawl out under the fan so to speak.  It means one cant sleep on their side too hot.

Miss I envy you I love the cold, walked around in the middle of winter in Wagga with shorts on.

Jen I have been to Wagga more than a few times so I like that area although I wonder if there is more in Singleton than Wagga..was there in 1997 in Wagga and there was stuff all there...

Miss well done re the Christmas dishes I only have to cook for C and the cat and dog, lol.
