Hey everyone,

 

Got a bit of bad news from my Dr my kidneys are leaking protein which is a sign of kidney damage.  Good news is since December I've lost 9kg all up 16kg.  but my blood test was up as I havent been walking as its too hot, so I gotta start walking again even though it doesnt start cooling down here till april I have to get up at 5am when its cool.

Gotta break the news to C my kidneys are failing and I'm 41 its nor reverable but can be maintained by good bgl readings.  maybe someone will give me a kidney later on, lol...

Hi Miss thats really good news about the OH being in good spirits i guess one just has to roll along and hope the docs come up with a plan.......:)

Kezza so sorry to hear that the old kidneys are not up to scratch.....i see where Jo Lomlu ( Kiwi football player spelt the surname wrong:(  ) is having to have another kidney transplant the one he got lasted 8 years.

Great news on you losing weight can only imagine what its like trying to walk up there in the summer........sounds like it might have to be a first light job:(

Hi JVH hoping you are finished with the tradies! Another hot one here today! OH was asked to attend a meeting next week regards a new contract Melbourne based (as well as waiting for a meeting for another one). Says he hopes to do both on a sub contract basis. OH is a total workaholic just hope he will be well enough (not commencing straight away). Had a better BP reading yesterday is at the drs now getting injections (antibiotics). Sees a new specialist next week. In great spirits hobbled down with brekkie in bed for me again this morning lol!

Kezza sorry to read about the protein in your kidney. OH just been thru this test as apparently it can be the cause of high BP. Please do check your BP! (OH did not have the protein problem). A friend of mine had this a few yrs ago and swears up and down hers was helped by the natural medicine route. (I think a bit of both is the way to go). Huge congrats on the weight loss!!!!

Got to get the fixers in for the plaster board then the all the trims have to go up skirting board things whatever they are called......then it all has to be painted starting next week seems never ending:(

Well JVH sounds as tho planning painters means you are getting to the end of the work (hopefully).
OH not well this afternoon think it was a combo of the pills and the heat. He slept for 6 hours and is still very weak. Glad he has to see the dr every day. He was out cold had trouble waking him for dinner.

Kezza too hot to walk here too. Poor pooch lol!

Oh geez Miss yes thankfully hes seeing the doctor daily you must be so worried about him seems so very unfair:(

Yes got to decide on floor coverings.........and get the blind boys in but yes once the painting is done am getting there

Had a bugger of a sleep called out twice to the alarm and had to meet security on site both times....alarm went off in the area that is being renovated so am sure something to do with that

Getting too old for these capers lol just want to have a sleep in occasionally lol

Thankfully you have an alarm but sad you have to have one in the first place! My bro is a builder and seems new houses/renovators are prime targets (being unoccupied and having new ovens/dishwashers etc and anything and everything inbetween. He has had entire brick deliveries stolen! When our place was being built OH was up here every opportunity and actually caught a couple of 'untowards' - took their rego nos etc and chased them off. (OH is big and tall lol). They don't know he's just a big teddy bear. Sad!

Wide open day today going to have a lazy one - book out on the balcony and perhaps a shop and a walk later.

Well the day from hell progressed to a not wonderful conclusion and looks like have to have a new ceiling in one of the rooms that is being renovated.......one part of the corner of the ceiling had water damage from a long time ago and when the cornices were removed for the sheeting to take place there was a bit of a sag so first cab in the am down comes the ceiling and a new one has to go in:(

Humid and horrid here hope the OH is doing ok today:)

OH NO at the ceiling!! Seems a never ending project. Hope the insurance co will step up to the bat. (we paid our excess over a year ago and work still to commence here). We are looking at paying and getting it fixed ourselves and sorting it out with them later. First ever claim/approved and one big headache lol!

OH is at the docs now for his daily check.
