Hi Libby and thank you just back from a bit of a break......i guess its been physically a pretty long haul...and with Mother being 89 i aint exactly a spring chicken i think the spring has gotten up and sprung:):).........I do try and pace myself.....and if i cant bear going to see the poor old Darling like she is i go see her the following day.

Am indeed super blessed as the charge RN i have known since i was 30.........that is longer than i care to think:):)

> Good morning everyone.
> Hope all families are well.
> PJ, lucky for Naji! Have you thought about a companion dog? I think that might be an option for you in your condition?

Wow Karen thats a fabulous suggestion:):)

I have read quite a bit about them recently JV. They do a great job!
Mother in law is not having chemo any more. She now weighs 32 kg's, is having only 1 liquid meal per day and is constantly sleeping and in pain.
Hubby is very upset but resigned to it, I think. 😞

Hugs to you both and yes its a dammed hard road to see them go like that.........im thinking she is on ensure which is the same stuff that Mother has.......and shes only also taking that in fits and starts...........really nothing prepares one for the slow and agonising exit:(

Thinking of you all:)

Hi Jvh, hope you have a good nights sleep talk to you in the morning.:-x

Hello everyone:-x
I've been away working for a few days so haven't kept up with you all.
Glad to see you back pj!
karen - commiserations :-(- sounds like it's all nearly over for your mother in law - hope she goes peacefully. Hug.(((karen)))
Thanks all for the congratulations on the baked apples! Try 'em. One person said, after the dinner, she'd always hated baked apples as a child - but she ate mine - and really like it! What higher praise could one want?:-D
Just basking in the glory!
Waves to libby, dancing, nohousework (you lucky devil), jvh - hope mum ok - and everyone.
The list is getting so long - my poor old brain has surely forgotten someone - hi to you too (AND BEST WISHES) oh forgotten names! LOL:-x
