> Thanks for the recipe's Jen, the Fielders Cournflour recipe is the one i'm going to try today, strawberries are $9.99 a punnet, so kiwi fruit will be the fruit used.

> I haven't lost any weight in the last week, still the same as I weighed last Thursday. 😞

Hi Freddie yes its a no fail one........lets know how you go:)

> Hi Girls.....have been busy the last few days. Had doctors and physio appointments. All are very, very happy with my progress.
>
> Freddie, I got 12, 500g punnets of strawberries yesterday for $6.00. I am going to make jam today. They are lovely and plump and very sweet.
>
> JVH....I hope the water recedes so you can get to see Mum. It must have been worrying when you got the call to say they might have to evacuate.
>
> To all the others that live in the rain affected areas, I hope you are managing. We need the rain here in Melbourne, but never seem to get any, we only get the fires.
>
> Hubby ended up getting me my new phone, and let me tell you I thing I need a licence to use it. At least if I am out I can keep an eye on all of you:^O
>
> Everyone, enjoy your day and keep out of mischief.

Wow nohousework......i have a new phone that i have had since late Jan it still is studying the inside of the pack it came in as i cant for the life of me work out how to get it to function and the OH has finished pulling his hair out over it lol

Hoping that in the am we maybe able to get to see Mother......she is of course blissfully unaware as to what is going on thankfully:(

> Wow nohousework, that's a bargain, this was at Woolworths, I wasn't fussed on trying elsewhere for the trial run, but will shop around for the real deal next week. I was given instructions from this dear old 89yr old she wants the sponge cut in half, half for her to take home :^O

Lol Freddie roared laughing at the standing orders re the sponge:)

> Look at everyone being domestic LOL
>
> How is everyone today.
>
> And how are you all that live north, all that wind would scare the heck out of me!!!!!
>
> Anyone had any damage happen?

Hi Crystal its still raining so far everything is fine........but we certainly dont need anymore rain over night..........and yes the wind is full on luckily all large trees in the street are no where near any homes even if they decide to uproot......:(

Freddie a nice passionfruit icing is nice as well

Crystal so far we haven't had any damage except of course for the local streets which are full of pot holes, which get filled and refilled after each lot of heavy rain. It's actually looking a little brighter outside, maybe it's on it's way out to sea, or maybe VIC 😉

Jen, i'm a little sad with my sponge efforts, it didn't rise as well as I feel it should have. Maybe the eggs wern't as fresh as they could have been, Supermarket eggs, you never know really. I might try and get some fresh farm eggs for the real deal sponge, my Mum tells me the best eggs for sponge is duck eggs.

Yes and your Mumma is right they are also excellent for pavs as well.......did you sift all the flour etc together 3 times?

Yes Jen I did, I bought fresh flour as well. The only thing I can think of is the eggs might not have been as fresh as they should be.

Yes well sounds like the reason.........and like you said one never ever knows just how long they have been sitting on the shelf:(

I have a rice pudding in the oven and hope it turns out as it is chilly and wet here!
