We have a 5 yo here who often questions the things people tell her. She is told that everyone thinks differently, believe different things and that is their right, just like it is hers, to believe as she chooses but we can all still be polite about it, even if we don't agree. She gets it.

Actually I'm reading a bit about the psychology and behaviour of our species that explains why we have a need to make up things we don't understand and the need believe. I'll start a thread on this soon.

Ofcourse you were. Everyone's born an atheist. Noone's born with a religious belief. Either they're indoctrinated with it or they latter in life decide for themselves what to believe.
