Enjoy brekkie and the markets jvh - the pulled pork was delish - here is the recipe.
Pulled Pork (crock pot) - Serves 10 - (freezes very well!)
1.9k pork roast (shoulder or rump)
2 large onions
1 cup ginger ale
Bottle of favorite barbecue sauce
1. Slice the onion and place in crock pot
2. Put in the roast and cover with the other onion - pour the ginger
ale over. Cover and cook on LOW for 12-15 hours.
3. Remove the meat, strain and save the onions, discard any fat,
bones or skin. Most of the fat will have melted away.
4. Shred the meat (easier with 2 forks) (will be so tender shredding is
easy)
5. Return the shredded meat and the onions to the crock pot, stir in
the barbecue sauce. Continue to cook on LOW for another approx
3 hours till well blended.
Note - shoulder or rump recommended because the meat shreds very well. Other cuts do not shred as well. It is a fattier cut, but the fat melts away in the cooking and is poured away when you discard the liquid.
Trust me - this is awesome!!

Flying to Sydney on Wednesday to look at a house - everyone please cross your fingers for me that this is the right one and that the (hopeful) sale of the unit falls into place.
Nef - hope the job scene improves quickly - or you will have to spend your days on Farm Town - boy is that addictive.
Have a good day everyone

You are up early this morning jvh - your OH must be a fantastic golfer (all that practice!) -
Regards the pork - I normally treat it just as I would a roast dinner - have it with vegetables/salad/potatoes etc. This time I made a corn pudding to have with it for a change of pace.
Hi libby - glad you had a great weekend - let us know when you get your new crock pot and in the interim I will have a good look around for a slow cooking website I KNOW I have around this desk somewhere.
Chit chat hoping puss is totally better now.
Went to the shopping mall yesterday - bought some new cannisters and a scarf - yay! OH has tendonitis of the achilles heel so he got to stay home and rest.
Have a great day everyone will pop back later.

Been out walking along the Strand. The sunrise was so beautiful and makes it worthwhile getting out so early for.
Rosie fingers crossed re the house and sale of the unit. Hope you are still in Brissie when I get there in August. Or I will just have to call into Sydney on my through south.
Nef hope a job comes your way soon. Will have to meet up for coffee soon.
JVH back to busy busy again I see.
To everyone hope you are all well and life is treating you well.
R is fishing, has been out there three days. Well I hope he is still out there. Should be back this afternoon. Might suggest we head out to Charters Towers for a few days this week. I have never been out there and it is a good opportunity.
New baby should be home tomorrow. Mum is havingi trouble with her liver and the docs are not happy with her blood results.
Well have a great day everyone. BBL
