> JVH sorry to hear your mum is not doing well. Actually having been there with my dad I do know the stress and helplessness of seeing a loved one suffer - and I think you are a saint! Glad you enjoyed the 70th - sometimes a little 'reprieve' really helps for a short time.
>
> PJbear awful you are depressed. Is it possible to change meds? I admire your courage and hope your health improves soonest xx

> We visited MIL again yesterday and delivered the little grandaughter home after her 5 day visit.
> MIL is hanging in there, having morphine regularly and sleeping a lot. She still chats a lot but not getting up at all.
> She told me yesterday she thinks she won't get better. 🙂 so I am thinking she is going to slip away within a month, her intake is down to about 300 ml per day. Her family are getting better at caring for her which is nice to see.
Hugs Karen yes one has to wonder what or how much longer the senior ladies can hang on for.......Mother only has liquid in fits and starts......and i keep thinking that no one can survive like she is........its such a massive learning curve:)

> The Assistance Dogs are fully trained to specific standards and provided to disabled recipients free of charge. Each Assistance Dog costs the organisation approx. $20,000, which covers the two year training period and follow up support.

I worked for a job network, but for disadvantage young people. So I have a fundamental knowledge of what makes them tick. I applied to work in the Clothing Store for the Army the other day, lol. Worth a try I say...pay is lousy but at least its something.

Just a quick visit as I have to be up at 3.30am to catch plane to work in Coff's Harbour tomorrow!
jvh and karen - so sorry about your aged loved ones.
It's not so long since I was in your position - it's soo hard:-( You wish it was over, but at the same time you don't want to say goodbye.
(((((jvh and karen)))))
Waves to all others - off to get some sleep.:-x

JVH - I'm sure your mum is aware of (and appreciates) the perfume and face cream - what a lovely gesture. I was told a nice footrub works wonders as well - supposed to be very relaxing for the patient.
(After which - you make an appt. and get one for yourself!)
Karen so nice of you to find the great information for pjbear - particularly at such a hard time in your family. Pjbear going through so much - hope this info works for you pjbear!
Scatty you must have a great job - jetsetting all over the place. Enjoy Coffs Harbor (hope you manage to get up at that hour!)
Libby hope you survived the school holidays. I think my nephews from your fair city are back in school this week.
Nefretiti - things HAVE to get better SOON - you get full points for hanging in there and trying. It WILL pay off!! Fingers crossed. Looking forward to logging on one day very soon to fantastic news from you.
Hi purple, chit-chat, dancing, tasfleur, dame and everyone!!
Ok up late - can't sleep - on my way for a nightcap - (just happened to pass the computer on my way). OH snoring away does not help the cause!
Sweet dreams everyone!

Lol Nef has taken a lot of doing to get there lol........taking it easy at the moment with all the visitors etc etc.
I know my boy is churning over returning to service....as it goes against everything that he believes in for him not to be in steady work and his Angel working.......try to keep the spirits up for him....hate to see him not working as the moods are not good:(
Well fingers crossed re working in the Clothing Store......like you said pays lousy but at least its dollars coming in week in and week out so that you can budget etc
I can only imagine how you must feel not working my heart goes out to you:)
