Oh, wow Darki, that story about Graeme Thorn is amazing. What a piece of history. How very sad for that family.

It was truly a terrible time for everyone quite apart from those poor parents... the thought that children were not safe on the streets any longer had a huge impact on Australian society because before, as Gil said, it never occurred to anyone that kids were not safe.

I think we all knew those days were over, and we were right ๐Ÿ˜ž

Afternoon all

I have been help a couple neighbours cleaning up the mess that some idiots made last night.  As today is recycling bin collection and a lot of people here put their bins out the night before.  The idiots were draging some of thre bins along the road and leaving the bottles, jars and containers all over the road with the empty bins.

Remember Darki The Beaumont children...........after that, parents had second thought about letting their children out alone, as they disappeared in broad daylight.

It is a shame that kids today cant grow up in the freedom that we had as children, before all these horrible things happened.

The world is a sad place now.:-(
