Feeling much better this morning. Slept all night without a coughing fit. Yay.
Hopefully we will get some rain. I am at Redcliffe. Feeling very relaxed. Might go for a short walk to the beach this arvo. See how I feel Hoping to get back to PT this week.
Got to arrange for my free cut and colour from Stefan's as well. Got some massages to collect and might have a facial as well. Should do the trick to make me feel beter. If not then I am a lost cause. LOL
Hope all is well for everyone. Have a great day. BBL

I have had a busy morning with 2 littles today. Master 2 1/2 had another ambulance trip to the Mater Saturday night, no symptoms other than a runny nose that started at around 4pm. At around midnight he started coughing, developed croup, given meds but nothing helped and sure enough, it became necessary to call 000. They were fantastic and he was home agan in a few hours.
We spent the day with MIL Sunday and she appears to be improving, to our surprise. FIL is now convinced the Dr's are wrong and she doesn't have cancer at all. Without upsetting him, it is impossible to change his mind.
I have been providing meals for FIL for some time now but he is getting better at cooking and taking care of himself. I discovered that hubby's younger 40 yo bachelor brother, who does not live at home but comes by daily to get firewood, have his laundry done and get fed, just helps himself to the meals as he pleases.
Personally, it does not bother me too much, as it means FIL is not cooking for the son, as well as caring for the MIL and doing son's laundry.
My hubby is furious and wanted to say something about me not wearing myself out cooking, so the brother can be fed. I stopped him as it would create a scene but he is livid.
I was thinking maybe I will now cut back and just provide a few meals and take down baked goods, like cakes, biscuits etc.
Are we mean spirited for feeling this way? We live 5 hrs away from them but even if we were nearby, we would not be allowed do more. Hubby did some yardwork while we were there and I did some hemming of pants for FIL and brother in law as well.

Hi and no you are not mean at all for thinking like that.......sounds like the bachelor is using you peoples good will and kindness.......and what a dreadful thing hes doing to his old Dad hope he hangs his head in shame.
Great news about your MIL......and yes sometimes we have to zipper the old mouth shut:)
Sorry the little one was ill again........does he do any type of swimming in the summer.....that is very good for the lungs etc
Thinking about the bachelor.....there are always people that will walk on the back of others:(

He was born to them some years after his older siblings and unfortunately, is similar age to his nieces and nephews. His 52 yo sister treats him like a child to be cared for as well.
MIL gets up for 6 hours every day, is very weak but showing interest in everything again and ruling the household from her sofa again. Her food consisted of eggcup size meal of fried tomato and a 5cm slice of a frankfurt. At least she is eating though 🙂

Well thats great that she is eating.......has there been any discussion about putting her on something of a supplement like Ensure........thats a liquid pap drink comes in a few flavours and is marvellous for keeping their strenght up......i know my mother is on that in the nursing home .........not sure how the doc goes about putting that on script........all of Mothers food is supplied through the nursing home
Yes shes not eating enough to sustain a little birdie eh:)

Master 2 is sniffly again and I expect he will have another bad night, he has swimming lessons but is not quite up to swimming alone yet. We use the pool every day in summer and I can't wait for it to begin! Anyone know if croup is a problem in summer?
