Afternoon all :-x Lily I am with a DEN as well. I went for an interview yesterday and I think it went well she told me were the parking was and what time to get there to get a park and they have uniforms she told me how much they are etc I think I might be the only one with some kind of previous experience. I went for an interview about a fortnight ago and they said you should hear from us by Wednesday which was last week I aint heard, lol. I applied for 5 jobs last week so here's hoping. Ruddy hot up here too hot for words I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow to remove some bulk, lol. Lily I've been looking at the cost of renting in yr area and its as cheap as? For example for $220 up here I get a 2 bedroom house the kitchen light doesnt work and the kitchen cupboard is broken also the shower leaks downstairs and the showere head leaks. Basically u get what u pay for a dump that should be condemned, lol. For $220 in Hervey Bay u get at least a 3 bedroom low set with fans throughout house beachside. What do u guys have there Woolies, Big W a Uni. Townsville is so expensive cause of the Army and Uni students...

Kerry, my DEN appointment isn't until Nov 9th, which is a bit of a pain. The person I see is in the same building as Job Futures/Community Solutions, which is where I was going.
With this hot weather my left leg has been swelling up something fierce, and my shin on that leg almost burns if I am on my feet for more than 15-20 minutes. There are little blisters there, so looks like cellulitis might be the next thing happening. Even my slipper doesn't fit properly on that foot cos it's so puffed up.I have a script for Lasix which I'll get filled.......trouble with that is that I have to stay home for a few hours after taking it, because I need to run to the toilet every 20 minutes or so, and if I don't get there in time..............
Better to stay at home to avoid that!

We pay $220 a week for this lowset 2 bedroom, small rooms, cottage which is only 2 blocks from the beach. No air con though, and it is an older style cottage as are most in this street, but the lights all work even if the kitchen is old fashioned and the actual layout of the house means to get to the bathroom/toilet/back of the house means walking through a bedroom.

You would be lucky to find a decent house for the same price, but they are around.
We have 3 Woolies in the area, Big W, Aldi, Target, Coles, IGA, lots and lots of cafe's etc, and the big shopping centre is Centro which is where the Target and IGA are, and other stores.
Pialba Place has the Big W which is only a year old, and Coles and some other stores.
Yes there is a Uni, but I don't know if it's as big as the one in Townsville.

Bay is lovely with sheltered beaches that go on for miles, and the Esplanade is where all the cafe's, parks and take aways, holiday apartments etc are.

My daughter works at the Woolies store closest to us, less than 5 mins down the road. Up the road about 10 mins is the other Woolies. The 3rd one is at a suburb called Eli Waters where there is another shopping centre.

I do love living here, plus it's a bit cooler than what you seem to experience in Townsville.

Dame, glad that Ash liked his little break, and I hope he can get into there permanently. Hope your mum feels better soon too.

PJ, hope your toothache has finally settled, and that the court hearing works out in your favour. Whatta pain about your wheelchair.

Now I can't remember who asked after my cheeky Goldens, but they are better than any alarm clock any day. My Jessie wakes up at the crack of dawn and all we can hear is the steady thump, thump, thump of her tail against the floor or walls, or on the bed. I think it's time to wrap her tail in cotton wool so it's not so loud at 4.45am!!
Shadow my goofy Golden boy, well, he greets everyone, including us when we come back after going out, with his fave toy, a stuffed teddy bear. Even when strangers come they are greeted by this huge Golden boy woofing at them, while holding on to his teddy bear!

Hi Jen,

He's ok. He's eating a pie watching cartoons. He got accussed at school of knocking off something from this girl in his class. funny thing about it is this girl's mother and I used to be friends I had her over my house for her b'day last year I bought her a cake and pizza and when they left I counted my money and it was gone. I had to sell some jewerelly to get money for food. I asked her did she knick it or her kid but she denied it reckons I misplaced my money she knew all the right words to say.
Stranger still is at my old job the volunteer's kid went to the same day care as this chicks kid. Both the kids were in the same day care class. I told the Volunteer the story and she said funny but the careers purse went missing and the career suspected the same bird who pinched my money. I rang career and said I was willing to make a statement to back up her story but she didnt want to persue it.
This chick reckons she is so much better than me cause she has her mum who lives in Sydney funny but if my Mum were alive and she was all I had I'd hang on so tight to her she couldnt breathe, lol. I thought yeah well at least I have my license, a car and a degree. This chick hasnt worked a day in her life except pumping out kids to get outa work and shes such a misery guts and materialistic you know what others have and she hasnt. I say get offa yr but get a job and than u can reap the rewards as well.
I think what hurt the most is I dont have many friends here and we seemed so much alike we liked a drink liked cleaning had bad experiences with people.
I just cannot believe someone would do this to me I see her at school all the time. C said today she called the teacher a F&^$in beatch over her kids stuff going missing. Just goes to show her character I say.
I wanna move to Hervey Bay and go eat cheesecake with Lily & P. C & I could be the third and fourth wheel, lol.
Gotta spare room Lily? 1 more wont hurt and dont 4get my chihuahua and cat, lol.
I shoulda moved when I had the money I cant stand the heat up here every summer is the same I much prefer the cold to the heat from what I remember of the cold...

Sorry Kerry, no spare rooms in this house now that my daughter is living here.
I do have a garden shed and garage though........LOL

lol Lily I just had a cold water shower no hot water at all...I say again I cant stand this heat maybe I can stow away in Purps 4WD, lol. I am positive they wont notice, lol.

Pj that's our average summer temp, lol. The heat is different up here more humid and sticky hence the name of the tropics, 😞 Worse luck

thats not good weather, in Adelaide the heat is more piercing and the sun has a definite kick in it, at the begining of this year we had 13 days straight of 40+ temps, I was in hospital at the time on the top floor and the air con packed in 2 days b4 the heatwave hit, it was not fixed until 4 days after the heatwave finished,

it was hot here today, and its going to be hot 2morrow too!, I hafta go and pay some bills tomorrow, I had KFC for tea tonight and thought I would try those mashies...they are ok but I wont be getting them again, they have used that deb potato and the outside is supposed to be the same 11 secret herb and spice coating they use on the chicken, it was not even close, and they are not a cooked fresh thing, they come frozen..
but anyways, Naji and I shared the chicken, and he had a bit of a mashie, but did not like it..so he decided that the potato and gravy was pretty good, then he had a tin of food ,some biscuits,some ham and he is still bugging me for food! LOL!

Evening from a very chilly Glen Innes. I am freezing. Had a good trip today.
