Good morning to the thread:) Sorry I do not get here so often these days, seem to be so busy atm:) My step dad seems to be taking well to respite, he is a lot quieter now, which makes things easier, he is starting to not recognise some people now, he has settled down about me so that makes things good. Huggies to the Dame..........marvellous news about your step Dadda..........the care facilities in this country are second to none.......if you ever get over to the states you should check out a couple of them..........they are so unregulated and the ones we saw dreadful.......my lips are now sealed:(

The slide into dementia land in a way is great when the patient appears to know no one.........but one has to be oh so careful what one says in front of them.......the hearing is always the very last thing to go:)

We donated all the old beds etc to a family in need this am.....some old chairs etc.........and an old table........nice to be able to help someone and to get some of the older stuff out so that i can see where im going:(

Have been soooo busy this last week or so and so haven't kept up with all you doings, but I do hope you are all ok.
Scattycat back to normal, and still spoilt rotten!! (Thanks for all your well wishes)
I'm off on the superholiday on Tuesday - Adelaide - the Ghan - and Darwin - over 14 days away - and totally outside my comfort zone - worried about the scattycat being left behind, but I think he'll be ok and I really need to do this. Haven't had a proper holiday in over 20 years, and I'm doing this all by myself, but it will be good for me, and I'm actually so lucky to be able to do it,
I feel guilty about those of you who are sick or without work, but...for me it's the chance of a lifetime.:-x
So wish me luck, best wishes to you all, and I'll see you in about 3 weeks!:-)

Morning all well the old boy is off to golf and im going to take the hound for a walk then kick back and maybe do some window shopping.

Cant remember the last time that i just had a lazy day out and about always seem to have a list of chores as long as my arm to do:( guess i have to be grateful for being able to get out there and do them

Slowly getting my head around Mother no longer being here.....still waiting on the official gumf from Births Deaths and Marriages so that the solicitor can start all the probate mucking about........i think once that is done and dusted hopefully i can find some time for me and be selfish just for once:)

Just having a kick back day........too hot to do much else........the OH and i have already done some gardening........the white pebble stuff needed topping up.......so have been at it sorting all that out

Seems when one has a house there is always something to do.

Was at Mothers yesterday and saw another dammed snake........has to be all the rockery and rock walls where they have decided to hide.......wasnt happy jan:(

Fingers crossed for him on Friday........hes off for a huge day in Sydney as hes desperate to go back into Service.......this time will be going in as a civvie in service..........hes had a taste of civilian life and its not for him unfortunately.

Naturally im sure hes not going to find out on Friday........as the government departments etc move at a snails pace at the best of times.

Anyways im off to work before it gets too hot:)

Lovely morning up here today, hope you all had a win on the cup, I of course did not lol but enjoyed the day spent with my Mum:)
I am off to Maryborough today for lunch with 2 of my sisters which will be good:)
Mum is having physio twice a week now for her leg and Ash is in respite twice a week and is having overnight stays on a regular basis, so things are good:)
I tell you what the staff at these Blue care facilities are the tops♥
