Jen, hey darl!!
when you have council pick up, is yours on a set day when it all goes out together? or do you need to book in, and is there a cost involved?
Our council "hard rubbish "pick up needs to be booked in and there is no cost involved, but some people decide to add to your rubbish, and so you need to tell the council what is being put out, as sometimes things are put out that the council wont remove , then its up to the person to get rid of..but sometimes I have booked in and when I have put the stuff out, by morning most of it has been taken by "junk" or reno people...
i don't mind that, but i dont like people adding big stuff without asking me first, we have two collections a year that we are allowed, but my neighbour and I combine ours so between us we get 4...
its great to have a wonderful neighbour like I have, she is 88 and the sweetest lady, with the naughtiest sense of humour.. LOl! i can't even say anything without her turning it around..
like one day she said to me, did you have your fan on last night, my answer was "I actually had it off, last night" she started giggling and i could not figure it out for a minute ..til i said ,,"you have a dirty mind woman" she reckons its my fault for putting the thought in her head LOL!!!
88 and a dirty mind,, how'd ya be...
Hi Bear..........We have pick up i think twice a year......and its all included in the rates etc.
What we do is put 3 peoples rubbish together in one pile.....the old boy helps the olds next door as they are incapable of carrying stuff etc.........then we pile everything up neatly and ring the council to let them know that there is 3 families pile in one pile.....geez that took a bit of explaining:)
Love an oldie with a marvellous sense of humour.......she must have been a real laugh in her younger days.
Thank you for the lovely card.....i finally got my act together and went over to the mail box.....that was so nice of you to send that:)

Hope your biopsy results come back ok jen,,,I think waiting for the results is worse than the biopsy..
I had a blood test on Saturday , mainly iron studies,, the liver dr seems to think celiac disease may be the problem,, I don't think it is ,personally cos i don't feel ill after pasta or bread or gluten, wheat products..
Yes you got that right had a case of de ja vu when i had the biopsy and they found i had the BC beast on board 8 years ago......am keeping myself super busy.....and the mind running at a 100klms an hour so that i dont have to think about it:)
That will be really interesting to see what those tests bring back for yourself.......do you have any tenderness in the liver area?

Hi JVH - good on you for getting that biopsy - please don't worry too much as most are nothing to worry about (tho we do) - bring on Friday and some good news! We don't get a hard rubbish day in our area (and no garden bin either) -
Hi pjbear - so sorry to hear about your liver woes - there is a good book on the market called 'Love your Liver' - which has some tips on alleviating stressed livers - (thank you for posting the pic of your cat - very cute!)
It seems to be very quiet in here of late - must be the weather everyone melting! I have just finished babysitting and our friend from the U.S arrives tomorrow so we will do the tourist bit with him.
Hugs to libby, dame, kezza, purple, scatty and everyone else - hope to hear from you soon - have a great day!
