Goooooooooood morning all.............and another humid day here on the Goldie.

Been out and done a little gardening before getting too warm and soon will be going out with my friend and taking her to various places to try and get her affairs in order........

Like my OH said to me last night........i so want to do the very extensive pallative care course....have wanted to for many many years.......so caring for my friend in this manner will teach me an awful lot as to what has to be done and as to how to handle a string of issues in a hopefully sensitive manner........just dammed hard when she has no family

She is steadfastly refusing to go back to Ireland.....we have offered to take her go with her pay for her whatever she would like.......but she has said she couldnt handle the emotional thing etc of seeing her family and knowing it will be for the very last time.......anyways ill just keep being there for her.......and hopefully get hold of her brother this afternoon our time and see what his thoughts are on a few issues.
Who said retirement had a lot of idle hours and time....certainly to date hasnt been for me:)

Good morning to everyone:)
Got up this morning to a tiny bit of rain, wish we could have a bit more:)
Sending out best wishes to all in the thread who have problems and hope the sun shines on you and today is better!
Pauline I hope your wrist is ok
Sending a special hug to miss and I hope OH is travelling well
Scatty good to see you back:)
Take care and God bless, one and all♥

Good morning everyone - nice to be able to post again LOL.

Thank you all for your kindness regarding our Milo - the place seems very strange without him and I think it will for some time.
He was quite a character.

Hope everyone is ok - PJ hope your arm is better soon.

Will post more later.

Good afternoon everyone!

Hi JVH so sorry re your friend's awful test results. So sad! I do believe there was/is a forum (Darki's cancer corner) - perhaps down the road she may join for some support. Take care of you too!

PJbear so sorry you hurt yourself - hope the x-rays go well and it is not broken. How frustrating. Glad you enjoyed your mum's b/day. (No don't go to bed that early - had just had enough of the computer for the day lol!)

Kezza keep up the good work!

Hello dame - congrats on the snipe - hope you are well and yes, thank you - OH is in good spirits - hopefully back on the right path. I wish you a lovely evening!

Waves to scatty, (libby I miss you), purple, rosie, dancing (miss you too) - and everyone who pops in!

Had my hair straightened today and it was $100 cheaper than last year - was pleasantly surprised (was expecting it to have gone up!) Now no more bad hair days for a while lol!

Have a lovely evening everyone!

Evening all.

Gee PJ you are certainly in the wars. Hope tha arm heals well.

Well we started out with a lovely day. But by lunch time it was miserable. However we went for a long drive. Even got on the car barge to cross a river. At a cost of $20. The scenery was fantastic. At least it was cool. It is getting colder now.

Rosie good to see you back.

Have a great evening all. BBL

Hi again

PJbear so sorry about the fracture - as if you haven't had enough woes! Do take care! Yes, I normally straighten my own hair too (halfway down my back) - this just makes it easier and I treat myself once a year. Hope your headache is better.

Hi purple thank you for the update - it is so enthralling to hear of such wonderful places - stay warm!

Off to watch the final of the Amazing Race with a nice gin and tonic -
sweet dreams everyone!

my hair is also half way down my back,, when I have time one of my carers does it for me,,, then at least its partially even...I bought a heat protecing spray, it gives a great result without the frizz...2 for the price of 1 in kmart..its recommended for use with hair straighteners...

i am not worried bout the fracture too much, its transferring to and from my chair thats the worry , it hurts a bit, and I dont want plaster and certainly dont want to end up in hospital..I fractured my right wrist last year and spent months and months in hospital...

I like the amazing race..I watched celebrity Masterchef the other night and had a good ol chuckle at Alex Lloyds crocumbouche..sooo funny even judge George had trouble composing himself....LOL!
well just scouting through the threads before bed...busy day tomorrow!!!

seeya...and remember

Take care of yourselves and each other
