thought that was  Gin Richo?

Hey Margo, remember Wolfie Pizen's Coachman Restaurant in the easter suburbs.....circa 1960's?

I loved the Coachman.....3 times a week when I lived at Double Bay (in the days when the man  paid for the dinner). ;-).

No Gilly---she was dutch----------lol.

I remember freshie.   lovely place.  OH father was into the Food and Wine Soc. and went there often.  took us too.

Richo!!   Norty Boy!

Hi Gilly,  I think Wolfie, and John Malik (?),  went from there and established The Waterfront at Darling Harbour.  It just didn't have the atmosphere of the Coachman, which was iconic.

Hi Fresh I totally remember it I used to go there 3 times a week myself, another favourite of mine was georges at Double Bay.

Loved all the silver service ones not many around now that meet the standard of the old ones.

Hi Purple, lyndal, richo, gill, oh and darkie.

Must pop in here more often I think it more my age group. 😄

I hardly come near the boards now but this is a nice thread.

Have a great Christmas all.

Yes Margo (and Gilly), it was a good time to be young, and in the eastern suburbs.

Margo, this has been a lovely thread from the first post by Darki.

I guess it is because we all have life experiences and are happy with where we are right now.

It is a great friendly mob on this thread.

We have already made the mistakes (and learned from them) that the younger ones haven't even experiened yet.  😉

Gawd help them....because I don't think most are equipped to handle them.

Now y'all come back again, ya hear?

Hope you're all not tooo busy today and have nummy  and peaceful Christmas.♥

I have a little bit of food shopping to do and that's it.

Everything done here....OH just has to pick up a loaf of bread on his way home. I decided on the spur of the moment that what I got yesterday may not be enough so ordered another one from the bakery.
