Still suffering from the effects of the weather extremes, Prim?

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

((hugs)) and sympathy for Prim.I hope that you are feeling better soon :-x

I'm home with a sickie .My OH and DD have both gone to a family reunion .It's held outside in a park so we are all very pleased that it the expected top today is 32 rather than 42.

Lots of smoke even where we are coming from the fires in Gippsland. My thoughts and Prayers are with everyone there as well as other dealing with fire.

Flashie, Sorry , I haven't been in to reply to one of your previous posts to me.It must frustrate you a little not to be able to get more info on your Dad's involvement in WW2.

I am for sure Prim.  I'm just waiting for someone to wake up or I'm going to wake them up soon. I love my Sunday breakfast.

That's a shame that you aren't feeling well.  I had glandular fever when I was a kid but I can't remember what it felt like apart from a swollen neck feeling.  I hope it's just a little 24hr bug.  It's horrible (more horrible) getting sick in hot weather.

Hi Joono 🙂

Your bed sounds great Karen.I Love the inlay. Is your dresser perhaps art deco ?

I've got 3 which I've thought about painting at various(this after I put lots of effort into stripping   of layers of old paint in the past lol).I leaving them as they are for now though I did search and found some fantastic photos of painted dressers online.

I agree Iza about painted dressers looking nice.  Especially as someone has done a poor job of trying to restore it to it's original look.

I used to be horrified at people painting old furniture but now I'm not like that.  Go for it I reckon.

Googles persimmons.

:^O Flashie, they are orange and look like a tomato, except they're sweet. When they're not perfectly ripe, they make your lips purse  lol.

Yeah I might paint the dresser, as the wood isn't very nice anyway..Iza I wouldn't have a clue what type of design it is... All I know is it's from the 30s and is practical rather than pretty. It has rounded sides, like they've wet the wood and used a vice to bend it.
