LOL know that feeling re the sparkie, my brother is a sparkie, remind me to ask him to come for a holiday LOL Tradies are really hard to pin down in the country thats for sure.
Well its been an interesting day today, I was thinking of teaching the girls how to be alone for 10 - 20 mins at a time but have decided to wait a couple more years. Hopefully I'll know when the time is right to start teaching them some independence. Gosh parenting is hard work lol 🙂 It's good though!!!
Apart from that busy knitting away scarves! At least it keeps me sane while I rest.
Anyway goodnight miss JV and everyone else have a refreshing sleep 🙂
Hi Bella and yes parenting is a bit of a minefield sometimes..........but so much fun and what a marvellous learning experience all round.
Marvellous about the knitting is so relaxing and great when you are not up to doing too much physically:) Please have an easy day:)

after raising my girls , and apparently i did everything wrong, mums do what they think is best at the time, i figure if kids came with a life manual on what its all about , i dont think too many kids would be born...lol i survived and wouldn't be without mine now that they finally grew up
bella if you get tired of knitting scarves, there is a pattern for knitting rabbits, its just a 11' sqare and the way its sewn up makes a cute bunny,
http://www.heartstringsfiberarts.com/bunny-pattern.shtm
with easter coming up , make cute gifts
Have a Happy Safe Day everyone

You know with the parenting thing I think we all do it differently, I mean heck we all know our own children and their capabilities. I was left for hours on my own at 12a and survived lol. If my two older girls didn't have a disability leaving them home for 10 - 20 mins wouldn't be an issue. I guess we all just do what feels right for each of us.
I'm lucky I can choose some parents have little choice, especially if you are single and having to meet work requirements.I've heard of people who can't get a sitter so their children as young as 9 are left alone for an hour or so in the mornings. Something I couldn't do but I cna see it would be easy to be in that situation.
I tend to think if they are normal healthy children and know what to do in an emergency it won't hurt them. At some stage we do have to teach them independence so I think once they hit high school a short time alone won't kill them lol But I could get flamed for that. It's just my situation is different IYKWIM.
So lotsalot you prolly did a terrific job 😉 Thanks for the link, that looks great!

Hi Jvh - hope your day is going great! How's that roof coming along?
PCT wow and wow - thank you so much for posting the pics. Makes me feel like running off to Tassie! Such greenery -
Hi bella - also on the knitting needles here (been knitting scarves for dolly) - trying to teach my neice. She's doing well but when her baby brother is around - have to watch the needles don't become 'weapons' lol!
Hi losta - do you have any pets? (Coming home to an empty house) - would be good company. I'll bet you did an awesome job raising your kids!!
Hi kezza good for you recognizing you needed to get back on the meds for a bit. Hope your cold is better in the a.m. (and your son's) - btw I'm also into MKR (would love to go on it with my friend lol). She has so much personality and is a great cook - we grew up together.
Big waves to dame, pjbear, dancing, earth, darki and everyone else - babysat today - earned a glass of wine while I cook dinner. Have a lovely evening!

HI Kezza and hugs so glad you are back on the meds........a very wise doctor said to me once.
Jen if you had an illness like diabetes for example you of course would take any meds prescribed for the condition........so why not take the meds for the depression.........i was on Cipramil right through treatment..........totally saved my sanity:)
Super hard bringing up a kiddie on your own takes a lot of guts and determination..............hugs to you both 🙂

My friend runs a market.... they sell vegies etc to all the vegies shops and supermarkets... It was completely destroyed except for one building. His office is gone under a collapsed roof, PCS destroyed... he is there from 4 am to nine pm every day trying to get it going again so that they get can back to business as soon as possible, poor guy. They need electricity, phones, internet... imagine the mess!
But on a good note, no one was killed, a blessing.
