I've been aware of him for years.  I saw him in the Olympics and the Paralympics ... I was so impressed with him, until he complained about the athlete who beat him.

It's one of those situations where no-one's a winner ... he had overcome so much, and so had she ... and their lives appear to have ended ... at the same time ... for no point.
