and there were little things with ipad that didn't suit me, related to image and video files, but can't quite remember what they were.

then either asus or latest samsung galaxy

they my choices i have ordered the new windows 8 surface so am looking forward to it arriving i have become quite addicted to my toys :^O

the blackberry is also great

they will bridge with your blackberry phone

from experience the aps for the android are mostly free

many aps for ipad you buy but they also have plenty free

i have synced my iphone with our ipad

not sure what else to suggest my son would say blackberry but thats only because all the rest of us have at least 1 apple device hehe

If you love apple things get ipad if you use windows get a samsung (Galaxy), asus, motorola etc.

I have a 10.1 samsung galaxy.  I love it, its only got wifi, but I can tether it to my phone or use a hotspot.

Much cheaper than an iPad.

Currently Woolworths have a "special" on Sim/MicroSim/NanoSim $30 starter packs, only $10. Perfect for tablets as the telephone number is of no consequence. They are valid till Sept/2014.
