I only discovered Bart a couple weeks ago. Haven't read his books yet but I intend to. He was a fundamental evangelical training to be a Christian apologetic. However when he actually looked at the facts of the bible he realised he has been brainwashed all those years and converted to an agnostic.

One thing about Bart's books is he's not trying to convert anyone. He is not like any of the new atheists. He is well respected and well scholared. You should check him out on youtube Godman. He is well spoken and charismatic.

Sorry, but I could never place any credence on anything said by someone named Bart ]:)

If you care about history and evidence Rabbit, I highly recommend Prof Erhman to you.

I've seen all his youtube stuff Bob. He's a great Bible scholar, but he isn't alone. He always makes it clear that his views are not some minority, far-out views, but in fact are the views of the majority of Bible scholars. And he is right.

Bart isn't alone. Another good one is John Loftus, who was once a disciple of William Lane Craig, the foremost Christian apologist in the debate format. John was once Craig's "Timothy", if you will. but then he realized that the arguments against Christianity were stronger that the arguments for it.

And there are many others. There are a LOT of websites and blogs that are authored by former born-again Christians who have since deconverted from the faith. It's an epidemic, and a good one!

The internet is going to be the doom of Christianity. They can't "silence" opposing views anymore. It's all out there now, for everybody to see. No longer is subversion possible. Thank "God" for that!

it seems that since you have lost your faith, you are determined to destroy everyone else's.

there's a warning about you in our Book. It goes something like this

'in the last days there will be ..."

I'll leave you two to 'tickle each others ears'.

Not at all, I'm trying to get people to think for themselves and to look at the evidence.

Is that all believers?  Including atheists who chose to believe or only those who were brainwashed/abused as children?
