I am learning a lot by reading these forums.
I can see why they have these things in place. I set a filter that only those who have purchased more than 5 items can bid. I didnt care if people didnt buy or got angry. I just couldnt be bothered dealing with someone who had a new fake account.
Thanks for everyones comments on here. A good learning curve for me

We all started at 0, Doc. It would be a bit hard for new members to build up feedback if they couldn't buy anything.
Besides, you can't block people based solely on feedback anyway (except for negative, which is pretty hard impossible for a buyer only to acquire these days). That 5 feedback is circumvented if they are phone verified - something a casual buyer or new member probably wouldn't bother doing.
I can't understand the point of discouraging buyers. If they don't pay, NPB them and they get a strike, you get your FVF back, relist and go on with life.

The Only reason for blocking some one from buying ten items off you is, they have not paid for the other nine.
Or you don't want their money.
I don't block buyers unless they have strikes againsts them, cause money is money to me.
