It is the seller's problem.  He does seem to be taking responsibility for the mistakes so just wait for him to offer a solution.

Obviously he has to pay for the return postage even if you have to pack it up and send it.

The easiest way would be for you to get a postage quote and him send the money to your paypal account before you send it.

If you go through an ebay dispute they will force the seller to pay for the return postage.

As Lyndal pointed out even when postage is "free" it's still the seller's responsibility to cover return shipping in a situation like this where the incorrect item has been sent.

To keep things from getting messy you should handle it all through eBay's MBG return request. This will present the seller with the option to provide you with a return shipping label that you print out and attach to the return.

Even if they can't provide one, or choose not to, you can still ask eBay to provide you with a return label on the seller's behalf. It saves waiting to be reimbursed by the seller or eBay if you were to cover the cost of the return yourself.

NEVERMIND ON TROUBLES!!! LET'S DO HOBBY!!!

the first time i was sent the wrong filter the seller imediatly sent me the correct filter and included a post label for me to put on the wrong one to send it back

clean easy no tears

So what is he proposing for the second return?

Why does he not do the same again?

The original post says it's two different sellers.

Ooops, did not recheck the OP....just assumed the item was from the same seller.

The first seller did the right thing....lets hope the second seller also does the right thing.

so today arrived the correct filter

i still have the incorrect filter and now waiting for the seller to let me know what he wants done with it

i took it to the post office and got a quote of $38 to ship it back

i let him know

update

since my last post the seller has failed to organise a way to return the wrong filter

havent heard from him since the 13th july when he was 'sorting something out'

so i have the correct filter but still have the wrong filter he sent first.

how long does he have to 'sort it out'?

i took the filter to my local post office and got a qoute of $38 to send it back

told the seller that about a week before his last message

i dont want to find ive been charged for the thing behind my back.

Just do nothing.....you have the correct item so just wait.  If the seller wants the wrong one back he can organise to get it.

He cannot charge you any more.

Unles you opened a proper dispute the seller can take as long as he likes.....it would probably have timed out by now anyway.

the guy must read the boards as he just contacted me with a return label i can print out

see how it goes tomorrow
