Very likely it is the same scammer/scammers as with the other near identical case. just hijacked a different account each time

And the most recent, very similar thread from just a few minutes ago

I don't know if it is the same scammer. It is possible, or maybe there is a network of scammers who are all connected.

And sadly, scammers do read here too, and every time a scam is discussed, they could be "inspired"...

Another seller from April 2022, 87% f/b....only has f/b of 50....also in Sydney.

OP, have you been following the 'other thread'?

Silly season is upon us....🤕

seller was ok 'til 6 months ago.....another hijacked account?? In cahoots with 'other seller'? Purchases were same day???

I dont even know anymore, except just to cry. Forged signature, addreses are correct though.

Here are the links, the scammer used to successfully get eBay to side with him, even though I had a statement from an AUSPOST employee, and this is how the bank I assume is trying to side as well.

Yes, it could be a hijacked account. If you look at how the seller responded to fb in the past, the difference is obvious.

Anyway, if I were you I would report the reply to your fb via live chat and also tell them to check the seller's account to see if it has been hacked. Funny how sometimes we are blocked from logging in even if we use an incognito window, but hackers actually manage to "do their job"?
