My daughter needs a part for her car. It’s advertised for $66 and they want $190 postage. Why is it so much.

Heavy part, coming from overseas, seller using eBay's International shipping ?
What is the item number (RHS of the listing page about halfway down) ?

Depends, if it a little widget, thats high. If its a bigggggggggggg part that may be reasonable. Insufficient information provided for any reasonable person to give an answer.
PS. I hope you put the right address on the purchase order

Buying car parts on ebay often doesn't seem to end well. I'd definitely price it elsewhere if I were you.
As sugar said though, how can we comment about the postage cost when we don't know how big the part is or where it is being posted from?
If you are keen to buy on ebay, maybe look for another buyer closer to home. Postage prices can sometimes work out cheaper within the same state.

Was this from the car parts seller in China you've bought from?
