Sellers who post a picture of a certain object with a BAIT and SWITCH price
I'm feed-up with seeing what, I think, is a VERY good price to discover that for an entirely different item.
That type of advertising is illegal compared to normal advertising.
Why hasn't EBay stopped this practice?
Yes, I'm aware that when a price is too good to be true it will be a scam.
I saw a row of pictures selling a cheap mouse; all but one showed $8, but one had $4.99. Going to the seller's site, which was for a keyring. It wasn't in the first picture. When selecting the mouse, it came up as $9.99. That is the very definition of bait and switch. This should be banned.
Which is the VERY reason its banned outside Ebay.

You would need to ask eBay
And those buyers who time after time choose to buy from dodgy sellers and keep them in business
It is also the definition of a variation listing, which for the most part are totally avoidable
You say it is illegal, have you reported it?
You say yourself you know it is going to be a scam, so why go ahead and look anyway, giving the scammer seller page views?
No good telling other members what eBay 'should do'
What is the item number?
