BANNING BUYERS

HOW CAN A SELLER BAN ME FROM BIDDING ON AN ITEM AFTER I ASKED A LEGITIMATE QUESTION ABOUT THE ITEM BEING LISTED AS IN BOTH QLD AND VICTORIA. IS THIS NOT A VERY BAD BUSINESS DECISION AND CERTAINLY WOULD NOT PRODUCE FAVOURABLE FEEDBACK FROM THE BIDDER OR BY WORD OF MOUTH. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE SELLER WOULD DO THIS AS I AM A GENUINE BUYER.

If the seller bans you there is no way you can leave feedback anyway.

Maybe the seller did not like the questions you asked or the way you asked them...they can ban anyone for any reason at all.

I don't like to make a habit of it, however over the years I have blocked  buyers who have asked questions about my listings or bid on my items.  The reasons include:

1. Several non-payment comments left in their feedback by other sellers.

2. Over-the- top "aggressive" or "nasty" feedback the buyer has left for other sellers and/or seems serial negative leaver

3. Feedback comments that suggest the buyer is a serial complainer and/or has an unusual history of refunds or missing parcels

4. Excessive nit-picking or insulting queries / comments about my listings and my items for sale

5. They have a significant number of negatives or neutrals in their own selling history

6. and those that ask very, very silly questions - such as "will this fit me" with no other information provided (how the heck would I know ?)

If you used all capitals in your question the seller perhaps blocked you because they do not like being shouted at Smiley LOL

How can an item be listed as being in 2 locations? Was it perhaps that the seller was in one place and the item was in another? Did they perhaps have more than one of the item and they would be dispatched from the nearest warehouse? whichever it does sound like a wierd sort of question and the seller does not have to deal with you if they don't want to.

Some sellers put any member they see asking questions on the boards on their BBLs, may not make good business sense but they are entitled to ban anyone they want.

Consigners & SA's often sell items that are dispatched from different locations.

If you pay by paypal you have protection in terms of your $.

If you used all capitals in your question to them they may have felt offended, or that you were questioning their integrity.

You may not be aware that the use of all capitals in terms of internet etiquette is considered shouting.

ebay Sellers reserve the right to sell or not sell to whom ever they choose for what ever reason.

The seller had the item listed  in qld at the top of the page and victoria at the bottom of the page. Her son lives in Qld and she was using his email address to sell her item, but the item and the seller were in victoria. I queried which one was correct and got banned.

None of the above.
