I think the Paypal notifications are playing up again. I haven't bought anything with Paypal recently, but have had a few buyers pay for items and I haven't received a payment notification.

I would suggest you contact the seller and ask them to confirm that they have received your payment just in case they haven't received a notification either and don't realise you have paid. Log into your Paypal account to verify that the payment has gone through. 

Thanks wishuponastar i did that, but no reply as yet! re seller. hopefully all goes through. Strange the pay now tab is still there though. Normally says View Order...:-)

If you paid as a guest through paypal you do not get a notification and it is not linked to ebay so is not automatically marked as paid.

Have you got a receipt from paypal for the payment?

Yeah - we've had a couple of issues the last few weeks like this (from a seller side).

One buyer is adamanat they have paid (because their eBay record says they have) but we definitely have not received it - and for some reason they don't seem to understand our suggestion that they actually check their paypal account to see if the payment has been made. (They were a UK buyer and used the unified checkout to pay for a number of purchases). We're getting to the point where we have no option but to issue a strike - which seems a bit unfair but if we don't we run the risk of getting a neg.

The other one it appears that either eBay or Paypal spewed up an old name and address (a maiden name from when they werre single about 6 years ago!). Needless to say that has gone astray in the post! Luckily it wasn't a big sale so not too expensive but we are still about $20 out of pocket for an error someone else made.

Im thinking paypal have got hiccups! must be. X-( I guess i will ring Paypal Tommorow make sure it went through to them the Buyer! thanks.

Thats what I don't understand-over 200 feedback & still using Paypal as a guest?? Seems a bit odd IMO

Oh & OP is a seller who offers Paypal ???

Does sound strange, but happenned once when my wife purchased via Esty - she was at a friends computer and could not remember paypal password, so she logged in as a guest and funded with CC.
