You should not bid on an item you do not want.

If you win it you are obliged to pay for it.

Ebay is NOT a game.....it costs sellers time and money to list their items and it is unfair of you to decide you don't want an item after placing a bid.

I shell grow my special list even bigger! Thats what I shell do.....

gambling is evil.

if however you are talking about bidding on an item on eBay, if you have placed a bid and now have changed your mind, well, you really have no choice but to cross your fingers and hope that someone outbids you and you are not the winning bidder.

If however your bid is the winning bid, you will need to pay for the item at the price you won it for plus any postage and handling charges. That is the law, and if you don't pay, then you are breaking the law.

you will then wait very patiently by your letter box until such time that the delivery man decides to pop it into your lett box.

If your delivery man has not popped it into your letter box in say 2 to 3 weeks from when you pay (for an australian purchase) or 40 days for an over seas purchase, then come back here and we will then tell you what to do if you need help.

Under very very extenuating circumstances you can sometimes withdraw your bid, however after explaining to eBay why you NEED to withdraw your bid, you do have to place another bid on the same item, so in your case this doesn't even help you.

eBay ois not a game, you are playing with people's livlihoods.

Next time you decide to buy something, pop it on your watch list for a few days whilst you think about it and before you commit to it. Think of it like a cooling off period.

Happy eBaying.

Bidding/Buying on line is a form of gambling!

Are you just having a stir??

If you bet you either win or lose.

On ebay though, a win means you are the one who has to pay.

If you change your mind, withdraw the bid. You're supposed to have a valid reason to do that, but in reality ebay just lets people withdraw their bid with no penalty.Smiley Mad

Provided it is not near the end of the auction.

Basically, have you considered just not bidding at all, unless you actually want the item and intend to buy it?

People who bid and don't intend to pay are a major pain in the butt to other buyers (excuse the french). You're just driving up the price for no reason, and you're not doing the sellers a favour either.

Just keep your trigger finger off the mouse unless you are genuine.

LOL, sometimes just waking up and breathing is akin to gambling these days Tuck!

(I wasn't really giving a lecture about gambling - I just hadn't brushed my hair correctly and my horns were protruding)
