It's possible ebay has removed the items.

Did you get messages from ebay suggesting not to pay and they have been removed?

Chris, a seller cannot take them selves off ebay, if they ar no longer a registered seller it means eBay has  taken them off, for whatever reason

if you bought items and paid with paypal and they have not arrived (and you waited long enough), remember you have 45days from the date of payment to open a dispute in paypal.... then, to get your $ back you need to escalate that dispute to a CLAIM.
