Michelle, I purchased an item from the U.K. on the 22/10. It was posted the next day, and arrived this morning (6/11).

The delivery times can be variable. As fast as a week or take several weeks.

I hope you receive your parcel soon. If you don't, yes, try to get a tracking number from the seller. As it is someone you have bought from before, there should be a way to sort something out if your parcel is lost or misdelivered. I have had deliveries intended for other people left at my front door, it can happen, but try not to worry just yet about that as a possibility, without a tracking number.

If not sortable with the seller if it has gone missing, don't forget to claim with Paypal before your buyer protection is up.

I had an item arrive from France today that was posted 31/10. I was pretty happy about that! I was expecting it to take weeks. Far longer than the eBay estimate.

Geez, that's even faster that the item I bought from a seller in Poland on the 27th of October and which also arrived today in Brisbane. I've had stuff take longer than that to get to Perth from here!

I've also noticed over a period of time that items from Hong Kong generally arrive far quicker than those from mainland China; by as much as 10-14 days in most cases. Go figure.

I once had an item sent from the U.K and it went to Bermuda, big white sticker with red writing "missent to Bermuda" . Prominently on it and it arrived faster than some other items that were also sent on the same day by other U.K based sellers. Both the seller and myself couldn't believe how fast it had managed to do that.

It has taken up to 4 weeks to get an item to WA from here (rural NSW). I've had stuff from China arrive in 3 days!! I think they came via EMS. I'd ordered some canvas photo prints online and they were printed and shipped from China. I ordered and paid on the Sunday night, got an email on the Tuesday saying they had been shipped that day and they arrived on the Friday.

I bought and paid for a non eBay item from Melbourne online on the weekend (a dash cam). It arrived yesterday. At the same time, I ordered a part for that non eBay item, from eBay (a memory stick), the seller being in Sydney. It was marked as posted on Monday, it's still not here yet. Sydney should be overnight to here, 2 days tops.

I think Aust Post has a lot to answer for!

Postie just came, maybe my stick is in the box!

Yes, it just arrived. Still, 3 days from Sydney is pretty bad. Not the sellers fault though.

You didn't see the courier at all? How do you know it was a couriers vehicle or more importantly one that was delivering a parcel to you.

Why would you think a courier driver would give a parcel to a random person? The courier driver would deliver it to the unit number on the parcel address.
