It is not unknown for a glitch to occur but ebay/paypal usually fixes it if you have qualified for the discount.

didnt ring but i sent 2 emails in which i got no response so far and that was over 5 days ago.
maybe customer support need more time.

Have you checked the payment Details in PayPal?
What does it show in the Funding section?
Click on Details next to the transaction and scroll down until you see the Funding source/s.

funding source still showing the full payment paid which is the same as the total amount paid with no discounts.

Yes, the seller gets the full amount.....BUT how is the funding made up?
There will be an amount paid by ebay/paypal and an amount paid by your funding source, making up the full amount of the item.
And emailing ebay is a useless exercise....you need to RING them and they will sort it out for you, probably while you are on the phone.
