You were the first to reply and now the last.

It is a pity you didn't read ALL of the posts and fully understand why this thread was started and what it's purpose was.:-(

Feedback is voluntary, not compulsory. This tool is already misused. ... ... ... ... How would you feel if this rating system (on communication and payment) was available for the seller, as well as the option of leaving negative feedback?  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .

Feedback options of positive & negative WERE available to the seller too but Ebay in their "wisdom" changed all that. X-(

My point being is feedback is being abused and a new fairer system needs to be designed and implemented.

Have YOU any ideas?  Maybe you could start another thread with suggestions on possible solutions.

My personal opinion really is ... the feedback system is something we could do without.

I really do not understand why a seller should be judged on how slow or how incompetent the relevant postal authority is.

It is very, very simple why there should be a feedback system and score...

As a buyer who loves buying from e-Bay, I take into account sellers can't please everyone all the time and if you have been selling for a while you may or may not have a 100% score however if you were say under 90%, to me would suggest that at least 1 in 10 people have had a problem with your product/service.

As a lot of very wise sellers here have noted, buyers are the reason for your existence on e-Bay... feedback is your word of mouth... it means you can make a little extra money as you will be trusted if you have sold so much merchandise and you get raving reviews from almost or all your clients.

You are added to the preferred client list, meaning you are the preferred seller if I need something you specialise in. As sellers, your business thrives on my good feedback as it attracts other buyers who are ALL looking for peace of mind.

Your post is both pointless and useless as it is obvious you have no idea about the essentials of selling anything, and good feedback on both sides should be earned.

For those that don't understand why buyers should get feedback, it’s simple.

It gives the sellers the ability to know whether they should keep an eye of a potential buyer. However, it also can give the buyer a pat on the head.

It feels good to know someone wants you to do business with him or her again. Unbelievably it is the easiest way to start to build a relationship.

As a seller, I like getting feedback that is personalised... I like knowing the SELLER took the time to specifically say thank you for my business.

I LIKE building a repour with businesses from all over the world!

As to bothering to responding to your survey... You have too much time on your hand to come up with such a pathetic, useless survey...

oops sorry didn't mean to repeat myself 😞

...bizzare

So this thread was a joke?

"I thought an Android was something from Star Wars"
- Mum

There are more obvious fake threads than this at the moment.

By the way can you remember the song Child's Play by Sherbet ?

TCT

Yea... not one of their most popular songs about a couple of years before Howzat i thinik..... Goodness I am getting old

What exactly was the purpose of your original post?

Your commencing argument was that the seller should leave a feedback for you immediately.

In your infinite wisdom you have opted for another argument/point of view all together.

Or maybe you have leaned something and adapted like the "thinking chameleon" ?

No not a joke childz_play_oz it was done to get a reaction on the current set-up of the feedback. Which I believe to be to easy to abuse. Through this I was hoping to instigate a discussion (brain storm) on possible methods which could be used to improve/replace the current one; . . . . maybe a fully automated one?  But using what?

Again I say "END OF" to the origin of the thread & invite ALL to give their ideas to improve feedback to be fairer.

p.s. I do agree to the bizzare comment though ... ... ... I did not expect so many votes in the two extremes ... ... I assume some did it just to stir the pot some more  ...  at least I hope that's the case.

No Robert, I kinda just thought you realised what a tool you had been and tried to backpedal real quick like???could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time

don't take life too seriously.......it's not permanent
