That was the impression I got. If it was me and I got them a month ago, I would have used them for Christmas shopping. No way would I have left it until the last minute. We're not talking a few bucks here.
I'd buy a phone. Probably from one of the many reliable sellers from China.

Just ask ebay to extend the time limit. Shouldn't be a problem.

It doesn't sit right with me, if it was a legitimate reason...fair enough, but it seems this is a pre planed choice.
