The seller has not yet posted the item, all he has to do is refund my money and cancel the transaction. What risk is he facing?

Don't tell me you haven't bothered to read a word of the above posts explaining EXACTLY your question!

But, just to make double sure, feel free lo list something, find that your buyer no longer wants it and requests the cancellation, especially after they paid with PP.

As they said, experience is the best teacher.

What if I leave a positive feedback, the seller does not send item nor refund? I then open paypal dispute, but seeing the positive feedback, paypal decides in seller favour. I risk losing my money.

Well, that would depend on what your positive feedback says, whether it has an influence on a dispute at all. If you're so worried about it, write something along the lines if "thanks for agreeing to my request to cancel". And I personally wouldn't rate the stars, except for maybe communication.

Please, at least try to consider (and maybe even care) about the fact that your actions have consequences for other people. It might seem like such a simple to thing to go actually, I don't need this after all, but it's not that simple for the seller. The risk of defects aside, even if they cancel the transaction and refund you in full without picking / packing the item, creating a postage label etc, you have cost them time and unrecoverable money.

Digi, from previous threads I don't think the OP understands consequences at all.  If he does, it seems he does not care.

I can only live in hope 😄 , if not for this member, then perhaps for a few others who may not have been aware frivolous purchase decisions are not so frivolous for the seller.

You can lead a person to knowledge, but you can't make them think. 😉

ROFL Digi, we should start up a songwriting team - I'll do the first line then you can do the second................

Mick Jagger n Keith Richards look out.     hahahahaha

I can't take credit for that one, I'm not sure who came up with it, but I saw it posted on Facebook recently (think it was actually an eBay-related post, funnily enough Smiley LOL ).

But... I do know how to rhyme, so we've got that going for us. 😄

Reckon we should order a Learjet or go straight for a customised Dreamliner ???????

Nah, we should definitely commission Holden to build a custom Torana LX SLR 5000 that can fly - you can pick who gets hired as the pilot / driver. 😄
