Use the full site on the mobile to access the forums, then it's just like being on the computer. It's down the bottom after you log in.

What has this got to do with misleading currency conversion?

Paypal has not changed their procedure since they became an independent company again.

It is misleading. I organised a purchase in usd with the exact aud exchange rate and i ended up paying $10 more through ebay.
As i had organized a fixed price with them in aud, when the conversion came back incorrect it turned into a dispute.
Ebay should explaine before purchase about your 2.5% conversion rate as you own paypal and are responsible to let anyone know about hidden charges.
As i am sure alot of people dont make many purchases on ebay and are never well informed about this charge wvery time.

I do believe that Wright was the first person to fly a plane. It's also not nice to call people douchebags, especially when the thread is several years old and the person you are calling a douchebag won't see your message. If you have a problem, take it up with eBay. No-one here can help you, especially with your attitude.

eBay no longer owns Paypal, and when you go through checkout on Paypal the sum of money that you pay with Paypal's 2.5% is shown.

I would add that Paypal's fees are considerably smaller than most (if not all) banks, also bear in mind that eBay's conversion rate is an approximate one and Paypal's conversion rate varies throughout the day along with global rates.

The word "approximately" appears between the listed price, and the conversion in AUD.

'Approximately' means "around this amount, but probably not exactly".

If you want to know the exact price you will pay before buying something, don't rely on approximate conversions - get exact ones via the conversion tool available in PayPal.

Or, go to google's currency converter, enter the foreign currency amount, get the current value in AUD, then add 3.5% if the original currency is USD, or 4% if it's any other currency, and you'll get a much (much) closer approximation.
