I'm certain in many instances its a selling tactic, as it creates the perception that the lower priced version is the sellers' 'mistake'  and therefore a bargain and should be snapped up before the seller revises the listing.

Furthermore, this store keeps on advertising items at % off "sale"prices that supposedly end in 4 hours, 2 days, etc but the sale just keeps getting extended time and time again. I've not once seen any of the items advertised at full price.

This time limit is not the listing ticking over at all. It is clearly stated in the listings "sale ends in 4 hours". After the 4 hours is up, the sale is extended and now the "sale ends in 2 days". On and on it goes. The items have never been sold at the full price which, I believe, is also illegal.

They've got shocking selling tactics if they hope for repeat customers. If they get an impulse buyer that doesn't view the store more than just once, they'll get suckered.

It sure is.  Zamels were recently fined megabucks for their "never-ending" sale tactics.

That could be interpreted to mean that if you have 2 items you can sell them at 2 different prices and the OP has made no mention of the postage charges on the listings.

Maybe some have free postage and others have a postage charge, sellers try different ways of selling items to keep the buyers coming.

As for telling sellers that there are mistakes in their listings I would not contact them over the matters you have raised here.

I listed a few items in a category but then went on to list for more items forgetting to change the category, some very kind poster let me know of my mistake and I really appreciated that thought.

I had a book for sale for $135.00 and had several emails telling me I had no idea what I was doing and the book was only worth $35 max. I found those emails offensive and none of the emailers business. BTW the book sold at its BIN of $35.00
