If you want to start accusing people then why not mention them by their IDs which they go by now hey.

I'm not crow anymore and you need to get your facts right otherwise you might find yourself in some trouble you goose.

Stalks, I'm only getting 3 of them, so the FVF's will be 3/4 of nothing.......................the state of the top paddock could however be something akin to the "Alpacalypse" after they've "pruned" it for me.

Batgirl's met them already and is still wondering what breed of dog they are.....................errr "Spitzers" maybe hahahaha

I haven't accused you of anything, but I will try to clear the air for you as it has clearly upset you, and I don't want that.

joetheseed asked me "Are you okay?", which is what my post was a reply to.

My post about the storm was a reference to a real storm that came through Mildura last week

http://digital.milduraweekly.com.au/?email-analytics=Mildura%20Weekly#folio=1

Many in this district had a lot of damage to property, trees, fences etc but I got through relatively unscathed.  In my street I probably had the least amount of damage.  As with many in this type of situation I am not going around to my neighbours going on about how I have little damage to speak of.  I lost the top 4 to 5 metres of a tree in my back yard and that tree is nowhere near buildings or sheds.

You may have taken issue with my use of the word 'crow' but that is used in the context I have described above i.e. not going on about it to those that have real damage.

Now, the pests.  We have a real problem with mozzies up here at the moment.  The river is the highest it has been since about 2004 and there are many pools of water around for mozzies to breed in (see page 6 of Mildura Weekly link above) .  There was a cryptic reference to another pest that I have had to deal with this last week, but that is a certain former poster who I can't name here and as much as I try to ignore that pest they keep coming back.  I got a lot of messages where this person is fishing for information.  I told them to ask you if you knew anything about what has him with his panties in a knot.  That wasn't an accusation, that was in reply to his incessant requests for me to ask members I know if they were involved.  That may be why you are upset, but that would only be the case if this other person told you I was accusing you, and I don't know if this other person messages you (but it would explain a lot).

I take no exception to you calling me a goose.  I've been called worse.

edit: I think that the fvf on postage has caused a lot of damage to sellers' and buyers' confidence in eBay.

Fair enough point taken and no one has or does message me,all I saw was crow in your post and when ever I see crow in any posts and if it looks like it refers to me then I take offence to it that's all.

Hope things come good in the end with that storm.

thanks for the well wishing regarding the storm.  Funny twist, the newsagency that got destroyed in Merbein sold Div 1 Lotto ticket in the week before the storm.

I know of a wheat farmer who lost thousands of acres of wheat that was just two weeks away from harvest and all of it got flattened.  Now I reckon he would flatten me I if I said to him "I lost the top 5 metres of a tree in my back yard".

What pishes the farmers off is "gee those paddocks of purple look lovely (Patterson's Curse), especially against the bright yellow canola", or, "I love how pretty the wings of the locusts are".

That's sad about the wheat. A whole years income gone. The recent floods around here saw a lot of crop devastation. I think the only ones that weren't upset were the rice farmers!

well, just as sellers have had to deal with fvf on postage, farmers have to deal with cold hard reality.  The reality for the wheat farmer is that they have no crop to harvest, but like many on the land they come up with a solution to whatever gets thrown at them.  They can run some cattle on the acres as the grain is okay for feed.  I can see some pretty fat cattle coming up at the saleyards next year!

Spoiler
no fvf fee on fat cows

edit: the wheat farmer had insurance Smiley Happy

That might depend whether he had insurance on it, and how much.  I remember when I was really small my father was talking to an insurance rep who told him he didn't have enough insurance cover on the crops.  Dad decided to increase it and we had a big hailstorm the next week!

Edit:  that'll teach me to refresh the page before I get around to posting!
