Refunding an item -

HI all. I made a mistake and my item sold, but it is not available - I lost it (can't find the jumper I sold on ebay). I know the buyer has already paid (paypall) but I want to refund ASAP and I have apologised - I am embarassed.

How do I refund? any tips? I can't see the money on paypall (pending) and tried doing it through paypall - no lucj. Any other option?

Thanks for your help - urgent!

Normally you simply log into PayPal and there is a refund button next to the transaction.

However if the payment is pending you will need to wait to see if it clears into your PayPal before doing a refund.

Problem is kopes OP is a new seller so the payment pending will be on hold for 21 days so what would be the criteria?

Can PayPal release the hold so OP can refund the payment or does OP need to wait until the hold is complete?
