From where Ilive I can't just 'duck down to thenearest Bunnings'. With your 'stuff-you' attitude to your customers I hope I don't inadvertantly buy anything from you. I feel sorry for your poor customers. eBay doesn't need sellers with your attitude, you highlight one of the biggest problems with eBay.

However the senders details like name and address should be on the parcel and match with the sellers details you can access on eBay. Difficult if in Chinese but really if you're ordering from china to get stuff fast you're not going to be happy anyway.

you clearly have access to the internet, otherwise you would not be posting here.
If you do not have easy access to a Bunnings store why not try an “online hardware store”

This would have to be better than making two eBay purchases from Chinese sellers, wouldn’t it?

My "In a hurry" is a relative term that relates only to ebay & meaning I hope to get it in 3 weeks rather than 3 months or not at all. I have a list of preferred sellers who give good service & use them wherever possible. That's why I like to know the seller's name - so I can add them (or NOT) to my list. I also have a 'naughty list' who I'd like to block from my searches.
do you check it twice?

From memory it was around a dollar or two shipped for each item, and the cheapest I could get a similar item delivered from an Aussie supplier (eBay or otherwise) was around $15, so for a non-essential little thing I'd eventually use, I figured wait a little longer and save $10.

yes, but when a buyer gets themselves into tiz over sellers not putting any ID on/in the item from China (probably a cheap few $ items) the extra $ would be worth it as it would save so much worrying.

It does make good business sense to identify yourself, in English, on the label - for returns & so the buyer knows who to give good (or bad) feedback about. With a bit of luck when the other lot arrive (or IF they ever do) they'll have some sort of ID. Meanwhile, I've now got 250 cable-ties & they'll last a while.

The details of why he wants to make a suggestion are incidental, yet tippy*toes replied with a condescending remark about buying cable ties from a supermarket, followed by the veiled judgement, "Not my fault if a seller can't keep track of what they have bought from whom", then some more pointless mocking from jeanababe.
Some of the regulars here need to step back and consider how their responses come across to members post here for the first time - probably goes some way to explaining why these boards are only frequented by the same handful of posters week after week.
