Why won't my "AWESOME" code work?

Why won't my "AWESOME" code work? This was today 30/1/18 and I was trying to buy a modem router, useing PAYPAL. See Screen shot.

That username comes up as not a registered user when I look, no activity on their account in over a year?

Which was a glitch I assume, as I just tried again and it said no such seller, then I refreshed and they came up Smiley Frustrated

 

If either ebay or their account is glitchy, that might be why the code did'nt work too?

Funny about that as I got the same message when I try to by the same item from Good Guys. Something is fishy at EBAY!!!!! See attached.

The code 'AWESOME' is a targeted code, you may not be eligible.
